A Sign In The Right Direction

I noticed a change of signs today at a charging station that I frequently visit in a downtown parking garage at a Price Chopper supermarket. This sign was very well needed as people were leaving their cars plugged in all day and all night and people without plug in vehicles were parking there all of the time. They replaced the small white sign that read for "Preferred for Low Emission Vehicles.

Interesting idea. Maybe an answer to people hogging charging spots is to have a timer display that counts down from when a person first begins charging. If the person exceeds 2 hours, it turns red, and the car gets a parking ticket - very similar to a parking meter. I believe that relying on people's good will to remove their car after two hours or whatever won't work in this society.
