Gotta start somewhere...

Also of note, though, NYC has not done well with their hybrid bus fleet that they have been running for several years. Repairs have been high, and about one quarter of the hybrids are now being refitted with new diesel-only drivetrains. The good news is the new diesel engines spew less poison gas than the older hybrids. Soot and particulate matter is a real problem in a place like NYC.

Natural gas buses were passed over a few years ago because of high acquisition cost. I know they are supposed to burn cleaner but I hate the smell of that exhaust.

I like this technology better

Rather than a huge battery which requires hours to recharge, use a smaller battery which recharges for a few seconds every time the bus stops to load or unload passengers - Forget the huge, heavy battery with a 150 mile range, and go with something which can power the bus for a few miles and quick-charge it every few miles. Makes more sense to me

Besides . . . . anti-pollution technology from CHINA??

There is also a very good American electric bus company, that has fast charging:
