Waterproof key options?

My 9 foot surfboard fits in my iMiev

But how to take my key with me in the water? I made a copy at Home Depot which does open the door and is waterproof. When I open the door the alarm goes off and I have to retrieve my hidden key to turn it off. Not the best option.

Anyone have ideas for a water proof / hidden key?

Also, just an FYI. Home Depot tested my key and said there is no chip in it. Their system doesn't recognize the chip in the key.

Maybe something from here might help. You need something that you can carry your key in, won't get wet, and won't come off when you are surfing. And won't make you look like dork.
