Evacuated Tube Transport! Fricking Cool! If Elon Musk is going to take this on next, this could be a reality sooner than later! Can you imagine a world without the need for airplanes? Going from New York to Los Angeles in 45 minutes, from Los Angeles to Shanghai in 2 hours. Holy crap! The cost savings is the best part 1:10 the cost of a rail system and 1:4 the cost a highway. I can see where Musk is going with this. Use EVs for local transporation and ET3 for interstate and intrastate travel. Then who needs a big battery!
