How to determine winning bid amount?
This car is really don't worth more than $8K...
I wonder what copart thinks... While leaf can be bought for 15K not damaged....
Imievs will be 12K not damaged in spring 2013....

CoPart does not divulge the willing bid amounts. You have to be watching during the live auction in order to see the winning bid.
Pretty much anyone can register to be a buyer. I'd recommend that you do that rather than using an intermediary.
This seller/insurance company is getting greedy, with multiple relistings. And yes, it does seem that used iMiEVs are going to be selling for less than the parts 'ought' to be worth very soon. :( :? :) :D

Even when you are watching and see the winning Copart bid, the seller can negotiate a higher price if the winning bid does not meet the reserve. For some states, like New York, Copart will only let you bid if you have a dealer's license, so you have to go through a broker.
