Yes it is an ES. I have never used the CHaDeMO but i know there is a release for the door on the drivers side. I will pop the door open to confirm it is there but i am pretty sure it is. Like i said, i have never used it, i only charge it with the 120V trickle charger.

Vehicle For Sale For Sale 2012 ES in W.PA. 27,800 miles

Once i detail it I will post pictures. It's white and is in excellent shape. Has DC charging port. I believe i am the third owner, second owner owned it from 2015-2023. He was a retired man and it was his wifes car. Garaged and never driven in winter weather. He did not have a level 2 charger so...

    Level of charge question

Thanks again for the most recent replies. I had thought about how to connect/disconnect the standard charger and wasn't sure the best method. If not using a timer, what would be recommended. Last thing I want to do is wreck the OBC. When connecting, what should occur first, inserting the the...

    Level of charge question

Thank you for the responses. Thanks JoeS, the link was very educational. I wish i had a remote but my i didn't come with one. I believe my car has been primarily charged with the 120V trickle charger that comes with the car. The second owner bought it in 2014 and he did not have a level 2...

    Level of charge question

I have seen several posts suggesting it is bad to fully charge the i and letting it sit. I bought a 2012 last fall with 27K miles on it. I live in Western PA. My garage is currently occupied so the i sits outside. It is currently my wifes main driver, but we are both retired and therefore she...

    2012 I-MiEV in Western PA.

Thank you! We are really north of Pittsburgh, close to Saxonburg. We won't be using the I much in the winter, because we have a 4wd Jeep for that purpose. But if the roads are clear we will use it. Can these cars survive outside when it gets really cold? I am a little worried about that. My 2...

    2012 I-MiEV in Western PA.

My wife and I have been car nuts most of our lives. Well, i was first but she soon caught the bug. We have owned over 100 vehicles over the years. She really loves smaller and unusual vehicles. We have had several smart's, which were wonderful trouble free cars and a ball to drive. I bought her...

    New owner

Being in hilly Western PA, i have long ago learned my lesson about the proper tires for the job. My Jeep Renegade 4x4 always runs winter tires between November and April. Since my wife and I are both now retired, the Jeep serves as our primary vehicle when the snow flies. I did run my Toyota...

    New owner

Lucky for me the 12V is only a few months old. I am guessing at the range, but new they were rated for 62 so at 11+ years old i would be thrilled with mid 50's. Thanks for the links i will read them in depth after work. I have a bluetooth OBD that i used when i had bimmercode for my I3...

    New owner

Thanks Mickey. The main reason we sold the I3 was the offer that Carvana made to buy it was over $6,000 more than we paid for it a year earlier. It was the middle of the pandemic and it wasn't being used much, it mostly sat in the garage. We have a Jeep Renegade and a Toyota Prius C so my wife...

    New owner

Hi to all. I just bought a 2012. I don't know a lot about the car but am reading as much as i can. It has 27K miles on it and is in nice shape. I have not done anything yet, haven't even charged it but the previous owner did have it charged up for me. I have been reading a little on this forum...
