According to the service manual U1116 & U1111 can be ignored??
Agreed, a cell voltage below 2.75V will shut down the car immediately, IIRC OBDZero logs data every couple of seconds, therefore easy to miss a 'blip'.
Might help to read the DTCs immediately when this happens again...
Not to discourage you but most owners who started changing individual cells realised soon that this was only a quick fix as due to severe degradation more and more cells keep going bad..
It is unfortunate that in most EVs the entire pack’s performance is determined by the worst cell..
Hello and welcome to the forum
It may well be possible that the 25.9Ah capacity can be improved by running a battery calibration in HobDrive given the car wasn’t used regularly the past year.
It looks like you a have at least one weak cell in your battery if you experience the tortoise and...
IIRC, there was a similar case, turned out that one cell dropped briefly below 3V during charge process when on a low SoC, didn’t do that once the pack was above a certain level..
Hello
I’d say both are 1st Gen cars and therefore you should be able to do a straight battery pack swap. To be sure compare the VIN numbers of both cars.
OBDZero is a great app for diagnostic, but it cannot read or reset DTCs, use CarScanner/Hobdrive for that purpose.
No need for a dealer...
Well done on the repair and sharing your experience.
Not sure if adding a ‘Booster’ is going to make a significant difference , IIRC someone mentioned that the ‘cold’ transfer isn’t very effective to start with, pumping the coolant around faster will make little difference.
That said, it...
Mitsu techs are not allowed to open the battery pack therefore won’t troubleshoot anything inside it…
As mentioned before @coulomb is correct the issue is most likely outside the pack, AC compressor is a primary suspect…
You’re not the first who bought a cheap second hand EV, assuming service/repair and spare parts availability are the same as with an ICE car.
This is unfortunate especially true for a 12 year old IMiev, given the low production numbers, finding a qualified tech to work on the HV system is...
