Re: 2012 I-Miev available in the Bay Area

Seconded. If you have a new driver up and coming in the family, hold onto it if you can. It doesn't go fast, doesn't go far, and it is so easy to drive that it's a perfect learning car. Besides, they'll never ask for gas money ;) , while simultaneously learning how to be responsible by not running o...

Re: MiEV, potential regen braking issue

This is starting to sound more and more like a battery problem. Do you have an OBDLink and an Android phone? I think we better check the cell voltages in the drive battery.

Re: MiEV, potential regen braking issue

As far as I know, the van and i both use the same drive system. Here is where myself and others have had to lubricate the gear shifter and position switch.

Re: Anyone Here Like the 2021 Bolt?

Congrats!

Yes, the one-pedal driving is all motor. The only brake that engages automatically is the parking brake if you slowly keep rolling forward with no feet on the pedals on a slight downgrade. It’s noticeable when that happens, and simply pressing the throttle pedal disengages it.

Re: MiEV, potential regen braking issue

Under the back of the car near the center. It’s a black plastic box attached to the side of the gearbox. These have a history of shifting getting stiff and causing problems. I’ve had to lubricate it on both of my cars.

Re: MiEV, potential regen braking issue

Fascinating. This is a new one for me.

Does it have trouble accelerating hard? I’m wondering if there’s a loose or bad connection somewhere. Another thought would be the MCU going bad. Was the recall done on it?

I think you’re missing a zero on that price.

Update. Fixed.

Re: Anyone Here Like the 2021 Bolt?

My 2017 Bolt is fantastic. I understand the 2021 is the original body style like mine, and the 2022 is the re-design. I personally don’t like the way the new one looks. Honestly, unless you’re going for a Tesla to get the charging network, the Bolt seems to be one of the best options out there. It’s...

Since it came up in a conversation elsewhere, anyone hear of or remember these?
