The credit only applies to new cars (never been titled). A used car means no credit. Credit based on amount of taxes owed. My 2012 tax return showed a tax liability on Line 44 of tax return 1040 of $7,384. When credit applied, my tax liability reduced to zero and no extra ($116) in refund.

I checked at www.carmax.com and my old MIEV no longer appears on the site. Presumably, it was sold.

Once again, the price has dropped at www.carmax.com on the MIEV sold to them on 5 Dec 14. Sale price is now $11,998.

The price at www.carmax.com has dropped from $12,998 to $12,599. Maybe one can negotiate with Car Max.

Had Recall SR14-007 and Service Campaign SC14-003 applied today at dealer. SR14-007 had a "re-flash" of the ECU done and SC14-003 had a "bolt-kit" applied along with rustproofing wax. Total cost billed to manufacturer was $214. Interestingly, about 10 miles of range was consumed in the re-flash...
