Right hand drive lights in left hand drive i Miev

Yes the guy who inspected the car had a light box thing that showed the half circle plus the little bit outwards. This was a testing unit he used. I will follow the other poster's suggestion and try the adjustment screws. I knew I could count on you guys!

Right hand drive lights in left hand drive i Miev

Aloha everyone. Or as we say here in the Cook Islands, Kia Orana! Few years with this great car in paradise and all is well. Remember this is a left hand drive iMiev imported from Hawaii to Rarotonga where we drive right hand drive cars on th eleft side of the road. When I go for my warrant of...

    Scooter crashes into iMiev

Aloha Joe, I do have a CHAdeMO port on the iMiev but have never used it. I have a OEM level 1 charger I had modded to level 2 for this country. The sound is like a fan, and it has gotten louder in the past year. Maybe I will do a video on it. My wife has backed into my truck TWICE now. Dented...

    Scooter crashes into iMiev

Long time no see guys, hope all is good back in the civilized world. My iMiev is getting along well. It seems to make a louder sound when first starting up that it used to. But it goes away after a minute. Check this out. A tourist was testing a rental scooter and managed to crash into my car...

How do You Drive your Miev?

I just tool around like the man with music blasting, the windows down and air con on. I jam it up the single hill I go on, and pass suckers on the narrow roads like I'm in a Ferrari. Wife has already dented the rear bumper by backing into my truck in the driveway TWICE! I go a couple days...

Should I buy an iMiev with the dealer 200 miles away

I am more than 200 miles from the nearest dealer. Hope the car can live with out that replacement.

Don't go over a bump with that load resting on the rear window.

    Identify this EV? SOLVED!

Well it turns out my iMiev is not the first electric car on Rarotonga. Back in the 80's there was an experimental research station here. I don't know much about the back story, still trying to get details on it. Apparently they tried to run on solar and had an electric car. The place closed down...

That's what I told the manager at the dealership.

    Rarotongan iMiev

Some people look twice at it, but they don't know it is electric. It is a small island so people notice something new. The few people I have talked to about it seem to like the idea of electric cars here and are supportive of the idea of bringing more in. The local dealership wanted information...

Just closed deal over the phone - hopefully pickup tomorrow

Welcome to the forum. Crongrats on your iMiev. It is a small car but I am sure you will love it.

    Rarotongan iMiev

More than 3 months ago the iMiev was stuck going through customs here in Rarotonga. It is left hand drive and they are not allowed in this country. After posting a $500 bond with a promise of not to drive the thing then let me take possession. They told me I needed an exemption. I brought this...

    Rarotongan iMiev

Yes I had that done before I left. They have an option for a pigtail attachment which was helpful as I just needed the local plug extension put on that.

    Rarotongan iMiev

I shipped my iMiev from Honolulu to Rarotonga via Auckland. 20' shipping container took 74 days. It arrived in one piece. At being loaded into the container in Honolulu the charge was 2-3 bars. The 12 volt battery was disconnected. Must have been rough seas, two of the straps holding it in the...
