Has anyone re-purposed an iMiev battery pack to use in a home solar setup? I'm interested in any thoughts on doing this.

They told me its required but I'm going to look into this more. If it really isnt and winter coming I'd at least have time to save for the expense.

I think it may be a broken AC support bracket like sandange mentioned. I can see something moving around when the A/C kicks in and its banging against something else, that's the noise. My dealer is out of my range and would need to be towed. If it were a support bracket what portion of...

Just a follow up. I got my iMiev back. They replaced the charger and the EV-ECU all under warranty.

Do you think this could have caused any damage to the battery?

Totally agreed but at least I was at home at the time. I'm not sure if its related but for about a week or so before this took place I wasn't getting the range I would have expected. Full bars after each charge still though but they seemed to drop off faster. I would have 10-20 kms RR less...

I just got a call from Mitsubishi service and they are replacing the charger which is covered under warranty

I tried starting it a bunch of times over 4-5 hours while waiting for the tow truck. Some times it wont start at all other times starts up shuts down in seconds. I connected the charger out of curiosity and it looked like it would start charging but then stop and display the "car + !" symbol...

Went to go to work this morning, attempt to start car and it starts "Ready" for a few seconds then shuts down with the "car with !" symbol and the RBS light. Battery's fully charged, secondary battery seems fine. Anyone have a similar issue?
