Setting the clock on the ES to a 12 hour clock

I just took delivery on my new MIEV ES last week and already have 360 miles on it and love it! The only thing that is bugging me is that my dealer can't tell me how to set the clock on the dash from a 24 hour clock to a 12 hour. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks Dan O'Neal :)

i-MiEV Prototype in 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

That's pretty cool! I wonder how long it will be before someone offers a fiberglass two seater sports car body for the "I"? Something that makes it look more like a Tesla roadster or an import sports car.

    iMiev not selling well?

The Town of Normal, Illinois, the one in the national "I" TV Commercial has leased five new EV's and the leasing dealer passed the tax incentives on through the lease.

Charging i is the ultimate Plug'n Play

Holy Cow!!!!! Is that a guess or is it a fact that a new battery pack for the "I" is $15,000.00? That is half of the MSRP of the car. I'm not sure I would have ordered one if I knew the cost to replace the batterys was that much. I asked my dealer before I ordered one and he said that he didn't...

    Metrics Musings

For us novices, please help me out and tell me what an ICE driver is. I'm sure that it doesn't have anything to do with "Ice Road Truckers" on the History Channel. Thanks in advance Dan O

Don't worry, the Mitsubishi webpage is incorrect. If your dealer gave you a embossed printed brochure on the Mitsubishi "I" and you look in the back folded page, the specifications are correct. It says that all the features of the ES are the same as the SE except for a few premium items. I was...

Don't despare! Mitsubishi does not do a very good job of maintaining their website. My guess is that it is probably inacurate. I notified them about a week ago that the specifications were wrong on the website and they still have not changed them. If you notice under braking they say that the...

    Reserve/Receive Dates

alexanmh, Perhaps your dealer already told you this, but you can sign on to mitsubishicars.com then go to vehicles and then down to the MIEV. Once you are on that website then you can create a sign on page where you can see the status of your car. Dan O

    Reserve/Receive Dates

JoeS, Great idea! I put down my $300.00 reservation May 12, 2011. I was told that the car will be delivered in March or April 2012. Dan O Bloomington, Illinois.

The federal Government has given each manufacture of electric vehicles an allocation of the $7,500.00 tax credit. This allocation applies to the first 200,000 electric vehicles that they sell in the United States. In other words, Nissan has 200,000, Chevy has 200,000, Tesla has 200,000...

Interesting book for potential and new I-MIEV owners

My wife gave me a book for Christmas called "The Electric Car Guide Mitsubishi I-MIEV" She purchased the book from Amazon.com however I believe that you could find the book anywhere online. Even from the author on the back cover. The price was $9.99 and I found it to be well worth the purchase...

    Wraps

My wife and I ordered the "I" MIEV back in June of this year. Since the "I" is so fun to drive we thought that the Raspberry Red color would add to the fun, so that's what we ordered. My wife made the comment that it looked like a big grape, so we dedided to nickname the car "THE ELECTRIC...

Everyone is having the same experiance with The Geek Squad. Mitsubishi is not at fault however they should have researched The Geek Squad before aligning themselves with them. It makes Mitsubishi look bad. You are doing the right thing by having your own electrician install your level 2 charger...

    Let the Hacking Begin

I can certainly understand customizing ones vehicle, but why would you void the warranty on a $30,000.00 Vehicle?

If your in the market for a charger

I don't see how Mitsubishi could object to the Leviton Charging station it has the same specifications as the Eaton level 2 charger does.

    The Geek Squad Charger Installation

That was my impression also, thats why I was in a hurry to get it done. There is no guarantee that the Fed's will extend the 30% tax credit. I posted the name of the person I purchased my Leviton charger from in a previous communication. I was pleased with the service from Black Hawk electric...

    The Geek Squad Charger Installation

Earlier I posted that on November 29th The Geek Squad, sent three guys out to do my home inspection. I think their names were Larry, Curly & Moe. They had no idea what they were doing but they said that I had enough open circuits available in my electrical panel. Which I already knew. None of...

Battery warranty if you don't use an Eaton charger

Marta, You are correct that there is protocol built into the "I" to keep it from overcharging. The main danger, is if the lithium batterys are charged to fast they will overheat and catch fire. That's why I was very careful to make sure that the Leviton charger that I purchased had the same...
