FREE Infant Baby Seat Booster Space Saver

We used this seat height booster with our infant until we sold our MiEV. Why? With our average size baby seat facing rearward on the right rear seat, the top of the seats touch and necessitate the passenger seat to be moved so far forward to be unusable by an adult. With this booster the baby...

    Ah Rate And Full Charge

Jonnoll99, I just got my 2012 miev back from a dealer battery check up. I requested a copy of the detailed test results and got back 4 pages, with the first being most useful, and showing "Battery current capacity 26.1 Ah", and "Battery remaining capacity 25.3Ah". Prior to taking it there...

12v Battery - All You Ever Wanted To Know

Except DIY 12V replacement info is missing: http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4255 "A 10 mm socket and wrench is the only tool necessary to remove and replace the battery, although a terminal cleaner would help make a clean connection." http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3766 DIY...

    zipped i-MiEV / iOn / C-Zero 2012 Workshop manual

A few years ago I had downloaded the 2012 manual from that link using wget, and fixed it to work from a local hard drive. So as a token of appreciation to all the useful resources from users on http://myimiev.com, here it is (zipped)...

    FS: 2012 White i-MieV

Thanks JoeS I updated the ad. In order to make it a more appealing buy, I am testing the battery with EVBATMON. I have not fully discharged in a long time so the first 57.92% PMC reading may be wrong. So as I have read is recommended to get a correct PMC reading, I totally discharged last...

    FS: 2012 White i-MieV

I love this car, but had a great upgrade opportunity that is forcing me to sell... You can see with all my upgrades, I was planning to keep it for a while. Was thinking of changing the 1qt gear oil, and I have extra cabin air filters also. Pictures here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/133158374257...

If they use some open source as a basis, maybe we will get access to the be able to use it also for a self driving autopilot. https://github.com/commaai/openpilot

California HOV White vs Red stickers

Don't bother applying for the new California HOV red stickers, the only kind valid after Jan 2019. I already tried. They are only going to new EV owners. : ( Seems new EV sales is a higher priority.

    Lost regen with new tires

Make sure you understand what features disable stability control. If it was me I would go to the dealer and ask for it to be harder to stability control. There is virtually no safety benefit, unless you have the driving ability and you have to escape extreme danger.

    Lost regen with new tires

I have an improved version which includes battery rate effects from the Yuasa report. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2R9j5ABY2mLdFYyRVJYNWU0WWM/view?usp=sharing

    Range extender !

I'm very skeptical that the discharged battery can end up with more than 50%, it defies logic, especially since there will be a lot of resistance losses during the initial peak current phase. The GS Yuasa LEV50 and LEV50N battery data available on the internet could be used to estimate this...

Optimum EV Charging and Electricity Consumption Time for GHG, TOU

Thanks JoeS for input. I have a 2005 Dodge Sprinter that I would like to make hybrid. Can you tell me about your "EV Conv: 156v '86 Ram PU, 144v '65 Saab 96" conversions? Are they documented in thread somewhere?

Optimum EV Charging and Electricity Consumption Time for GHG, TOU

In order to charge at the cleanest grid time, I have set my EVSE to only charge from 7h to 17h. Besides helping to reduce GHG, this also promotes solar, and will hasten the demise of non-renewables. Until SCE's TOU supports this and is actually cheaper for me, I'm staying on the standard NEM...

What's the WORST range you've gotten

We did a few family trips over the summer and hypermiling on the highway we could just manage a 56 mile drive to my moms house, and did the round trip a few times. After my wife having difficulty doing a trip that is usually easy, I needed to investigate... I have been taking to my miev to...
