My i-MiEV has spent most of its life in the garage, while a Prius of equal age lived on the street just outside. The difference in their finishes is striking. Meanwhile, for the last few days, the i-MiEV has been in the driveway instead, and the amount of bird shit it has attracted is dismaying...

The rear seats can fold flat, level with the trunk space. You just have to take off their headrests first. Although I rarely have back-seat human passengers, I mostly keep the seats up, either to create a more confined space for the cargo, or to have a cat carrier seat-belted in to a rear seat...

That makes sense. When I saw this thread, I wondered why I'd never heard any rattling. But I took off the frames first thing when I bought the car. They're just ads for the dealer, nothing useful AFAICT.

I've kind of wondered that no one (?) has tried to duplicate the remote, since 1) it doesn't seem that sophisticated, but 2) it's crazy expensive to replace.

I don't recall hearing of this type of problem before. Does this mean it's going into turtle mode at 50% charge?!

I didn't sign it and I don't support it, but it's happening anyway. Not de jure, but de facto. Most major car manufacturers have signed deals with Tesla to switch to "NACS" in the next couple of years (for U.S. models only).

Yuck. I hope not. For my taste, I think first choice would be to have a fully-functioning (AC/DC) NACS port on one side, and keep the CHAdeMO on the other. Second choice, two fully-functioning NACS ports, one on each side. Unless you're building an external adapter, it would probably make more...

I dunno why you'd presume that. If anything, I'd presume the opposite. Anyway, the plan, for all non-Tesla cars, is to speak the CCS protocol over the "NACS" hardware. Tesla has their own protocol, but they aren't opening that, AFAIK.
