Anyone with a parts donor in the yard?

I put an ad in the wanted section, I am in need of a right side lower control arm plus possibly a few other parts but the lower control arm is the one making the car scrap. It seems there are no parts available any more for this car -Grrr... <g>.

Purchased today, on the way home :)

Figured I would check in on my original thread and do an update. After 2.5 years of ownership I am about to rollover 30k on the odo, so about 18k of miles driven. No further issues with the a/c. The only other maintenance has been a tire change, shame the Yoko's were the only economical...

    Tire shop hillarity

So, my 2012 which bought 2 years ago with 11K miles on it has now reached 25K and the OEM set of tires is worn out. The stock tires are ridiculously priced @ >$150 per tire. Tire Rack had the Yokohamas at a decent price so I bought them and head them shipped to the local MR. Tire for...

    Volt

My wife bought a Prius Prime which has a 25'ish mile battery range. Her commute is something like 15 or 16 miles so she gets to work and about halfway home on E power each day. She is averaging a 'fillup' on the 10 gallon tank about every 6 weeks and the cumulative mpg dash calculator varies...

    Annual Battery Calibration check $130.00?

No longer exists, your manual should have an orange card added loosely which advises not to bother you can do it yourself. Drive to less than 2 bars, plug in and recharge fully. The card has lines to note the "test date"

    DCQC Costs

Snowy roads implies 0C temps. I'm pretty certain there is some max charge rate logic in the car for low temps...

What's the WORST range you've gotten

Today's driving - starting RR was 64, heat off although I had preheated for a few minutes. 35 miles actual driving, not much heat used on the 7 mile trip to work. some heat used in the middle 20 mile lunch trip. Full blast heat on the way home. Pulled in to the garage with 2 flashing bars and...

What's the WORST range you've gotten

I've been close to 1/2 a charge per day lately, usually 7 bars consumed. My per day mileage is 20, + or - 1.5 miles. Heat set to full blast :D

Don't Forget That It's Possible to Disable the Traction Control System!

Yep, good reminder! Just be careful for those with less experience in snow with rear wheel drive. Probably a good idea to turn it back on once you get moving again...
