Hello everyone!
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I know there's a lot of pushback against EV's, example the mighty oil lobby and the lobby of spare parts...
I've never driven a car that run so silent, effective and cheap.
The fuel prices exploded in the last 10 years, the best choice to...
My Mitsubishi i-MiEV has got more than 80000Km up to date!
I just can say, I'm looking into an electric future.
Many FAQ and prejudices against electric cars, about the range, the battery loss and the suitability for daily use are shown in this video.
Check it out...
Yes, it's my own winter pack!
If you will have a garage it's better for charging the battery in the coldness.
If you charge outside at -20C°/-30C°, you must drive with tactic, after the trip charge your iOn directly.
If you will wait a few hours the battery the will be cool down (oh...
At the rear doors aren't any speakers, you can close the grilles!
At the front doors are 16cm diameter speakers, cut the insulation exactly out and duct tape the insulation around the speaker!
So you'll get a much better sound! :D
I've checked the temperature again, it's exactly 84.5C°
The 16bars are for every kWatt!
If you'll drive very carefully, so that you can hold the green "ECO" range, you've got a distance of about 10Km/1kWatt. 16kWatt = 160Km :!:
If you'll drive in the "B" = battery mode you'll get the highest regenerative braking, an very high range is...
I know exactly what you mean. The LiFEPO is very expensive, but it has got a very good performance! The shut off voltage per cell is 3.65Volts, 4pcsx3.65V= 14.6V
The controller charge with 70A and 14.2V! :!:
All electric power(12V&330V) you'll take with you is an big advantage.
For 2 times I...
At first I've got insulated all the doors:
Original door:
Close all holes:
Insulation of the heating system:
Original PTC-heater:
I'd change the 12V/32Ah lead battery with a selfmade 12.8V/48Ah LiFePO4(Headway):
Have a good trip!
I'm from Luxembourg!
Nope, I've aluminum rims with DUNLOP ENASAVE summer tires!
I'll drive the i-MiEV only in spring, summer and autumn.
For the real winter time I've an old Opel Astra, so no "Idiot-Driver" can crash the brandnew i-MiEV, that's much more than precaution of course!!!
I...
Thanks don!
Of course I've tested it before the insulation mod.
I've lifted the car and removed the plastic cover( fixed with 8pcs M6 bolts and 3 clips).
Then I turned the heater button to the maximum and "PUSH MAX" too.
Ouside temp is 12C°, after 27seconds I've measured a temperature of 63C°...
I've got insulated the heater module, that saves a lot of kWatts....
You don't need to disconnect any (dangerous high voltage-) cables or hoses!
The "Armaflex" insulation laying around the heater module like a big tube.
OK, here a few pictures:
The heating with 5000Watts is the biggest load, after that's the aircon coming.
To get the maximum range turn the HOT/COLD button into the neutral(green) position!
You can drive with zero km/mi in the range display, it's shown "----"
If you get the turtle, the heating and the aircon will be...
I drive this electric vehicle like a normal car, but I can't say it's a slowpoke,
it's faster than the most conventional cars of this size...
