    Wow, this (and your transmission post) are full of great info. Some real technical details. More please, if you've got it!! Interesting, it looks like the battery has its own CAN network for the CMUs to the BMU. Too bad there's not more detail on the cell balancing.

    I agree FiddlerJohn. I'd love to see an owner's manual. My dealer said they could mail me a copy, but is was just a printout of the warranty manual. I'd *really* love to see a service manual too. Being able to review that would make me much more comfortable before finalizing my order. Online...

    I'm getting the impression that Mitsu is being quite conservative in their claims for the MiEV. Not a bad way to bring technology to market. The higher power levels referenced in the SAE paper could be for the heater or A/C in isolation, but the lower numbers might apply to the integrated system...

    Thanks for the link. Now that looks like fun! I find a little power oversteer very helpful in the snow. It appears the traction control can be turned fully off. Hopefully this is the case for the North American models. Has anyone tried to duplicate this with a NA MiEV?
