Yes the cabin filter is hidden the same way as in my Priuses (Prii?), behind the glove compartment. I just found a YouTube link - uploaded by a funny, 'silent type' guy. It is like an old silent movie - but it does the job.
As for the coolant. This is what bugs me; there are two locations where...
Thanks Don and Joe. It all makes sense.
Because I like to know "how things work" I would love to know what the two cooling systems do. The dealer has no clue.
I am currently waiting for the passenger airbag recall to be installed.

We own a 2012 unit we picked up new in 2014. It is just over 21000km. (We keep the car garaged in the winter. (Yes it is great to be wealthy and have two cars :o )
Based on the common knowledge (or misconception if you look at Tesla service) the cost of electric car maintenance is peanuts...
I noticed that the speedometer in several cars shows a slightly different speed than my GPS. Interesting to oserve but really there is nothing to worry about. The difference is well within the "tolerance" of the cop's radar.
Why is this website deemed "insecure " by two of my security softwares? One on my Samsung tablet the other, running on my PC.
This site is active for years. Can somebody fix this problem??
I 'missed' the first year checkup. Now, Bubbles in her second year with 16,500 km on her ODO. So I decided to take it in for service. I was charged C$129.36 for what is described as "yearly inspection". (By the way the same dealer charges $54+tax for an oil change to gas cars.) Does...
I took our car to the Mitsubishi dealer to review the outstanding recalls and take care of them.
While there, I was shown on the screen of the 'service advisor' that Mitsubishi has increased the main (drive) battery warranty from 8years 160,000 km to 10 years 160,000km on all 2012 cars, like...
Sorry for being away for so long. I just wrote the original note to create awareness. I have not even checked if they are available in the sizes the "i" needs.
I agree with you guys that all season tires are not really meant for the winter months. However, I was talking about "all season" or...
As far as I know the changes from the 2012 model are
- heated seat added for the passenger side (front) - very useful
- two extra speakers into the rear door - nice but really?
- lit up ring around the charger plug while the car is charging - nice touch
There may be one more addition but I...
Google "all weather tires". They a new breed of tires, not to be confused with the popular "all season" tires.
The idea is that they perform well in winter and summer, without the rubber melting away. They make storing and swapping tires (with or without rims) twice a year unnecessary.
I have...
Here is another idea.
I just put a set of Nokian WRG3s on my Prius. It was after some serious thinking about believing or not in "all year" tires. So far after the first Ontario snowfall the tires worked (steering and breaking) in snow, slush and on ice just fine. There are a bit noisier than...
Hi All,
After some trepidation I have decided to have our Mitzy undercoated with a product called "CorrosionFree". Their website is http://www.corrosionfree.com/
I was able to watch most of the application at the local All Brite dealership. The product has a greasy/silicony feeling to it when...
Our car is 'new'. A 2012 model we bought with 150km on the odometer. It was a demo, only licensed in Feb this year. I find the car generally "lightly built". This is no surprise but I want to keep it for a long time and Ontario winters are hard on any car. Hence I am thinking about rustproofing...
