Here a an article about edmunds long tern review of the i miev
http://blogs.insideline.com/roadtests/Vehicles/2012-mitsubishi-i-miev/

The trend I see in these articles is that the writer has either driven the car one or two times and they are basing their opinion on that or like in this case, the i is being loaned out to staffers and collecting their opinions of the car. As far as the mileage, I think each one of us has done better than this. I see that because the car is being loaned out, the staffers are going to have some fun with it and see what it can do. How can they try to see what the car is really capable of, if driven in this manner during the 'long' range test.

I found this article where the the writer did use an L1 charger and had no problems with using only that as the charger. Of course he is in a metropolitan area where public charging is widely available. However, the tone of the article is much more favorable to the i than the Edmunds long range test.

Well my blink charger tells me all kinds of information about the last charge or even the total power used for the month vs the last month.

So far i have over 4000 miles on my car in about 2.5-3 months. Is the car fast no but does it do really good at what it is made to do which is cheap point A to B transportation with little out of pocket money besides the price of the car.

My power bill has got lower because of the electric car and the rates my power company gave me for my house car included.

Edmunds purges the older reviews of a model from time to time, so mine aged out, but without solicitation from (or mention to) Yours Truly, I see that my dad posted a review. Good On Ya , Pops!

Winner for running errands in town!
Jamu Joe,09/02/2018
The MiEV is a winner for short range errands. We have a plush RAM 1500 Limited for long range trips, towing our Airstream and hauling stuff, but for errand trips to town (Durango, CO), I much prefer the MiEV. Adequate range, easy parking in tight spaces downtown, extremely economical and fun to drive. No, it's not a Tesla, it's plain and a bit funky, but so what. I love passing by the gas stations to recharge in my own garage. It even handles snow on our steep driveway amazingly well.
