Hello and first and foremost I hope everyone is safe. Anyway, I’ve had this car for almost 4 years and it’s been great, but suddenly today, when I moved it to park it in my garage, the second I put it in PARK and started raising the front windows, it went Caput! It went crazy of the dashboard and stopped everything. Please tell me it’s the little 12V battery! Please!

Yes, it''s most probably your 12v battery. Attach a smart charger directly onto the battery terminals. Even a small smart float charger will work, but if you do that then leave it attached for a day or so. If you have a voltmeter, measure the 12v battery voltage directly, before, during, and after you finish charging. Check your 12v battery fluid level and use distilled water if you need to top it up.

I had difficulty understanding your sequence of events.

Had the car been sitting unused for some time (how long?)?

Did it actually start up and go into READY and you drove it (how long, timewise?) and then you put it into Park but did not turn it off before trying to close the windows. The window mechanism actually does draw a fair amount of current out of the 12v battery. Perhaps not enough time was allowed to let the dc-dc charge the 12v battery back up before you hit it with window closure?

Let us know of your progress...

Good luck!

Agreed - Not nearly enough information to even provide an educated guess as to what's happening

Is it a 2012?

Is it the original battery?

Has it been sitting?

Did it start and then fail only when you tried using the windows?

It could be the 12 volt battery, especially if it's the original 8 year old one and you've never thought of changing it until now, but if it started OK and then quit when you tried the windows, it could also be the DC to DC converter which charges the battery which has failed

More info, Please!
