Did my taxes today. All went well until I tried to e-file. it wouldn't let me, and said the 2012 Imiev doesn't qualify for the $7500 credit. I went to the IRS website, and it very clearly says the 2012 Does qualify. So I printed and will mail the return instead.
A bit worried here....hmmm...anyone else run into This?

Of course not.
The credit only applies to new vehicles.
Have done this with a different EV before.

When I filed for my second i-MiEV tax credit, the IRS flagged the return and held onto my refund because they suspected it was either a second claim on the same car or a claim on a used car, as it was a 2012 model being claimed in 2013. That is still being sorted out.....

Just checking, since I know how vague the details are on claiming these incentives. Though I doubt a dealer would attempt it now, but some Chevy dealers were titling Volts, claiming the credits, and then sell the car.
