If you look at Figure 13 (Para. 6.2.1) of the link http://www.solarjourneyusa.com/HowFarWeDrive_v1.3.pdf most people will be shocked to realize just how low that distance really is, based on a sample of 748,918 trips in the 2009 survey. The i-MiEV is eminently suited for most people's trips, and it just takes a little forethought to juggle the typical family's cars for outlying situations.
