Process for programming new remote for I-MIEV

Sat Nov 29, 2014 7:55 am

Hello. I was able to find a good deal on a used remote (the one used to pre-warm the car and schedule charging) but I need to pair it to my car. I was wondering if anyone had done this themselves, or knew the procedure to do so. I have heard that it is some crazy sequence of button pushes, and that the MUT is not required? Thank you for your help.

This must be a well kept trade secret! I ended up having my dealer program the remote for me to the tune of $50.

So . . . . did he use a 'crazy sequence of button pushes' or did he use the M.U.T. III??

I had a problem with registering the IMIEV Remote. For a long time I was looking for an instruction on how to do this and constantly came across this thread. Therefore, I decided to post the information found, here. Hope this helps someone.

ediv, thank you for your post. You jogged my memory, as I was remiss in not providing this in our Tech/Reference subforum so it could be easily found. The original post was by jray3 back in December 2017, http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3911#p34760, and I've now copied it into our Tech/Ref section http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4443#p39897

@ joe,

Some other useful information to add with this-- the Omron manual for the remote.

Hi @kiev, thanks for that. I added your input to PV1's already-existing HowTo Use the i-MiEV Remote thread. The threads in that subforum can only have one post.
