Getting Charging Stations loaded as POIs in SE GPS Nav?

I can't imagine I'm the first to ask this question, but I searched the forums without any good results (other than folks' wishlist for Mitsu to include charging stations). My SE with the Nav package will not tell me where the nearest charging stations are located. Plenty of gas stations (useless, I know), but no EVSE. I looked through all the POI categories/options/features, but charging stations are not even available to display. Given this rather large gaffe on Mitsu's part, does anyone know how to get EVSE POIs loaded into the nav system? Do you have manually enter the POIs you would want to visit (tedious)? Or is there a nav system update that will load EVSE stations? I seriously cannot believe these would not be included on an EV's nav system!

Yep, a well-known deficiency and another reason the overpriced Nav system was not a popular option. Dunno if anyone has pursued a possible software update with Mitsubishi. For myself, before I got an iPad I manually loaded in "most likely" EVSEs into my $50 Garmin GPS for any longer trips I took. I now have an iPad with cellular and have loaded all the popular charging station apps into it: PlugShare/Recargo, ChargePoint, Blink, CarStations, etc. It's always an adventure discovering new stations when taking new longer-distance trips, with the perennial fallback of carrying our own EVSE and finding an RV park.

We need an NAV update like this: http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/download/mmcs/e/down_mmcs_01.html

Apparently these updates are only for the AUDIO and not for the NAV portion of the infotainment. My update must have been successful because my version is now 3483-5636 for the database after installing the DATA1 and DTAT2 files.

"The updated version of the Gracenote database will be displayed on the INFO screen under “Support Info”* You can check that the update has been successful by confirming that the last four digits of the CDDB data version match the version you installed."
My 2010-A MAP and NAV POI seem to be unchanged.

Yep, I'm gradually inputting all our regional charging stations. Plenty of time to do that when charging in the field! My wife is from the other side of the earth, so the magnetic deposits in her brain must be all messed up and she can't find her way worth a darn, so it's important to her. ;) For myself, it's handy to experiment with different routes and when approaching from other than the usual direction. Checking RR versus distance to destination has come in handy many times, and the changing difference between those two numbers is a good check of hypermiling skill!

Does anyone know if this is still the case with the new 2016 Nav models?

Well i can confirm its not fixed in the 2016 .... I just got mine tonight and i came to this forum to find a fix ....

I just recently purchased a 2016 with the navigation system and in my net searches I cam across a "Charging POI Update" for these cars available here:

https://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/en/products/update_navi/north_america.html

then
here:
https://www.navigation.com/cms/page.mitsubishiEVNA/en_US/HERENA/USD

I wasn't able to get this working as I don't see the option to "Update charge station" on my system. If anyone else out there with the 2016 Nav system has more luck please let me know. I pretty much know where all the charging stations around here are but figured it might be nice to have this working anyhow.

My suspicion is that maybe my system needs an additional update to allow it to use this download.

Thanks!
