See that Consumer Reports is still posting their ridiculous "mileage" ratings showing that, for example, the i-MiEV and Leaf have better highway mileage than city driving. I am missing something?
Edit: clarified that it is Consumer Reports that's providing the questionable numbers. I also had posted a comment on the InsideEVs website.

I have no idea how they calculate their mileage. It's a very silly way to rate electric cars anyway.

Still not too shabby for a very simple car from circa 2009 with hardly any improvements since. Nothing related to energy use anyway.

I saw that today and don't buy it. In their article is states that it is a combination of city and highway mileage.

Cute to see it in 2nd place, but I still don't fully buy it.
DON'T get me wrong ! My 'i' is the BOMB for me and my short commute !@!

I actually do get better mileage on longer trips with fewer stops, which I tend to think of as "highway", although I mostly avoid the big, fast interstates. I guess it depends in part on definitions?
