Japanese Spec radio

Does anyone know how to get (or if it will fit) the radio bezel and mount out of a Japanese spec i-miev into the US version? I have a Pioneer radio I like much better than the stock ES radio and can't afford the nav package. The bezel from the Japanese spec holds a standard off-the-shelf radio with a storage pocket underneath. The pocket is covered by the speed conversion paper in these photos.

As you can see, the entire dash is completely different - There the 3 climate control knobs are arranged horizontally while ours are in a vertical alignment. Our dash is also wider, because our car body is wider

If you find someplace to buy their radio bezel, I'd do some research and make sure it would even fit on our version of the car - Could be it won't

That certainly looks easy. Thank you for directing me to that thread. I didn't even think of using the nav bezel. I guess it's the same for the most part, but the US nav bezel is guaranteed to fit. This will definitely be my first mod when I buy my i, plus it's cheaper than buying the USB kit if you already have a radio (even the radio is cheaper at $138). Also, here's a pocket to fill the void if a 1-din radio is used.

The dash has not been widened but filled in. Its one of the tricks the Mitsubishi engineers pulled to cut cost on the widening for the North American i MiEVs. So our dashes if you take the filler out, would actually fit in those narrower European and Asian spec i MiEVs. The top part of the bezel actually looks like the same shape as ours, only the bottom piece has been changed, even the vents and the hazard button are the same as ours. I'm suspecting it will fit.

Do you have a line one one of these from eBay or something? Not sure what your finances are but there is a posting here about someone that bought the top bezel for the double din radio and they were also able to get the wire harness as well.

MLucas, you linked the same thread as Don, but thanks anyway. After looking at the pictures, the top bezels do look the same, just the piece below with the dials.
