Hi all,

I would like to get to the warning beepers and disconnect them. I have tried to be at peace with them but they annoy me - I often hang out in my car at lunch or break time and am in and out of the car, etc.

I want to find the beepers for these two things:

Key in ignition and driver's door open

Seatbelt not buckled

They may be the same physical beeper...

Thanks

If I had to guess (and it's only a guess) there's just one beeper and it warns you of everything. Disconnect it and you might wish you had it back when something more serious goes wrong

Seems like i had the same concern a couple of years ago, and wrote a post about how to disconnect the key switch and put a jumper in the seat belt switch connector to get rid of that annoying noise. Plus i wrote about pulling out the knee shredders located below the steering wheel. i'll have run a search to find the thread and edit the post to add the link...

found it on my fat stacks and morning wood blog

Kiev,

Thanks for the super info! I did all the mods including the knee breakers. I had seen them before and thought the same thing! glad to remove them since I love my knees. Also the car is so much faster now :)

Considering the rear gate beeper next, but I do like seeing the dash warning light for that one. So now I'm back to considering removing the physical beeper again and plugging the other stuff back in so I see lights and no sound....

But as for now my life is so much better! Thanks!!!
