Thanks for your explanation. I had kind of scienced out what the OP probably meant, but I couldn't make any sense of the contradictory posted dimensions.

Re: What Are Electric Car Owners Paying to Charge Their Cars

Thanks for all your inputs. Keep em comin! It would be interesting to hear from any European and Japanese drivers. I wanted to point our one other thing. Where I live, the peak rate is published as 18 cents per kwh. The reality is that with delivery and overhead the marginal peak rate comes out to 2...

What Are Electric Car Owners Paying to Charge Their Cars?

What Are Electric Car Owners Paying to Charge Their Cars? I live in Toronto, Canada. My monthly household electricity bill includes a $26 CDN meter charge as well as delivery and time of day charges. If I charge between 7 p.m. and 7.a.m or on weekends the marginal kwh rate is 15 cents CDN per kwh. I...

What Is The Cabin Air Filter Actually Filtering?

After a rain storm, my new-used 2012 ES interior smelled a tiny bit like wet dog. Taking the cabin air filter out I found a significant amount of fine hair (dog hair?). I was able to clean it out, but my question is, where did it come from? It was my understanding that the cabin air filter was to el...

Re: Battery Recalibration - When Does the Charger Turn Off?

Where are you located--maybe someone close by has CanIon with an OBD-link and can show you the individual cell voltages. Thanks for the offer, but I had already downloaded CanIon and it didn't work with my existing ELM327 bluetooth OBD2 adapter or an Innova 3030 USB scangauge. I am going to have to...

Re: Battery Recalibration - When Does the Charger Turn Off?

The last 10% or so of the charging process involves balancing the battery pack and very little charge is put into the pack during this process. You can unplug when you see 15 or 16 bars and skip this balancing process if you like . . . . it won't hurt anything Don Thanks for your replies. As I had ...

Battery Recalibration - When Does the Charger Turn Off?

This is my second charge on my new used 2012 ES. I drove it down to 2 bars to recalibrate it it using my Level 1 8A 120V EVSE. After 16 hours of charging, there are 16 bars, but both the red dash charging light and the orange EVSE light are lit indicating that charging is still occurring. I was wond...

I hadn't seen these data on this forum but it was information that I evaluated in making the decision to buy a used i-MiEV. Hopefully others will find it of interest. https://avt.inl.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/fsev/fact2012mitsubishii-miev.pdf https://avt.inl.gov/vehicle-button/2012-mitsubishi-i-miev
