Re: Remote fob range extension?

I would try hanging 4 to 8 feet of wire on the wall and clipping or holding your remote antenna to that while using it. It might be especially effective if you can put the wire in front of a window facing toward you car. How much building is there between you and the garage?

Re: Feb 2012 Miev with Pack Trouble at 40k miles

Later this evening when i got home the EVSE was blinking and done, the pack was at 66%SOC, 11 bars, 360 VDC, and cell #47 was still 0.150 V below all the rest. Since the balancers only drain at 0.1 Amps, it may take several days to bleed all the high cells down to the 3.95. At least i gained 1 bar ...

Re: What tire would you recommend?

When you wear a tire down from 10 or 11/32nds of tread down to 2 or 3/32nds, you've worn away around 1/4 inch of tread and the diameter of the tire is 1/2 inch smaller, which makes the circumference about an inch and a half smaller . . . . and that changes just about everything That's interesting. ...

Re: What tire would you recommend?

I just had 4 new Yokohama Avid Envigor tires installed on my car and wow are they quiet. I've had them now a month. The old Dulops Ensaves had just over 24,000 miles and would have been good for a little longer except the left front was tire wearing on the outside edge. I've been running the Dulops ...

Re: Gas Cans --> Electric Mowers

So, has anyone tried mounting a battery pack and inverter on an inexpensive plug-in mower?  :geek: I tried it with my Black and Decker plug in mower. It's an 18" mulching mower and these mowers have an universal type electric motor that has a rectifier. So I did an experiment a...
