Re: Regeneration and Brake Lights

So, is this thread basically an argument for driving in D mode? I've always gone easy on the brakes. I never thought about the effect on the lights. I personally try not to go by the lights of the cars in front of me, but by their actual positions. I've been driving my i-MiEV in Eco since I got it.....

If I may ask, was this King, in Gaithersburg? Or who? I'm curious to know who has the most local expertise.

Re: NRG eVgo here in Mass - high price I think

eVgo has multiple plans, not just the $15 one. I signed up for the no-monthly-fee plan ("Flex") the other day (along with ChargePoint and SemaConnect, which seems to cover most of the commercial charge stations in my area). I'm not sure if this is true everywhere, but it was true for all t...

Bonus: HOV access

I didn't realize this when I bought the i-MiEV, but it turns out that electric cars in Maryland get a pass to use the HOV lanes, even with only a single occupant. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Nissan_Leaf_HOV_sticker_WAS_2012_0766.jpg (Not mine -- just for illustration.) Of cour...

Re: CaniOn not on Thrive tablet ? :(

I dunno what a Thrive tablet is, but a lot of Android devices (assuming it is one) are limited in what they'll run by the version of Android that they have. (I even ran into an app the other day that said 4.4 wasn't new enough, which was kind of ridiculous.)

Cargo net / cover?

Two things I'm missing from my Prius: the cargo net, and the cargo cover. I saw where I can buy a cargo net for the i-MiEV (e.g., http://www.mitsupartsworld.com/mitsubishi-i-miev-accessories-exterior/266-mitsubishi-i-miev-cargo-net-bungee-accessories.html ), but there are no attachment points in the...

Insurance hassles

I'd been with Progressive since 2002, covering three different cars. When I went to replace the Prius with the i-MiEV on their web site, at first it seemed painless -- but then, instead of the expected new premium, I saw "Requires special processing". Huh? Was this the first i-MiEV they'd ...

Re: Leaning

Well, I got another look through the open garage door, at the front, and -- it looked like it was leaning the other way (i.e. towards the passenger side, which was now the left, from my perspective). So, I'm going to put that down to optical illusion, due to the sloping roof. I'm guessing just the h...

Re: Leaning

OK, I backed it in, and I measured it forwards and backwards in the garage and on the driveway. I'm not sure I can still confirm it visually (what with the sloping roof of the garage and the lack of room behind the car when it's backed in), but the measurements were consistent (25.5" left, 26&q...
