Re: New Jersey Electric Vehicle Tax

I'm in Montclair and agree that this is a ridiculous tax at this point. Does the state publicly list how many EV's there are somewhere on the internet? It would be interesting to see. I'm part of a group of EV drivers that gets together and goes to events to promote driving electric vehicles. If you...

Re: What's everybody paying?

Got mine on a lease for $75/mo with no money down in North Jersey. The dealer said that Mitsubishi set up the new financing near the end of February to get more cars on the road. Bell Mitsubishi in Rahway got about 10 cars out the door this way. You had to be "sponsored" to get the deal, w...

Re: Clipper Creek Level 2 charger deal.

Just got the same note as Lithim, and further down on the page it states that you can go to your dealer and they can do a download to fix it. Should have checked my mail first...

Update should take about half an hour.

Re: Here Comes the CA-MiEV!

Ditto. If they were going to make that car, I'd be happy. But I'm far less interested in concept cars and more interested in rubber meeting the road. Also, they seem so excited about wireless charging, but there are already Leafs with this capability. (To be fair, I don't think they are production L...

Odd charging blips

While my iMIEV was charging it sometimes cuts out for a while, then goes back about its business of charging. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this the "charging may stop before a full charge" that is identified in the manual? For example, on March 3rd I plugged in at 5:30pm and the car be...

Re: Range with headlights on

Denny, is it a 42 mile roundtrip commute? Or one way?

Also, depending on the weather and the speed you want to travel, you may want to plug in while you're at work just for peace of mind.

Re: I-MiEV Sales

I have to agree with the sentiment that iMIEV sales are stronger due to better financing options, unfortunately. Got mine only because they were giving them away with leases below $99/mo. Until the range gets closer to 80 or 100 miles/charge the MIEV will be a second tier electric vehicle for most p...
