Re: Mitsu Stock USB or aftermarket stereo?

Has anyone done a replacement double din stereo? There are threads here on the forum from those who replaced the stock 2012 ES radio with a double din - They bought the factory dash part from the SE Premium and it all fit together fine. Don't recall how much the dash piece was, but since it came fr...

Re: Supplemental cooling for the charger.

Great idea!!

They claim an improvement of as much as 20 degrees, which in our case is a pretty significant improvement. One bottle should do 2 or 3 cars. I think I'll be doing it also. Every little bit helps!

Re: What are all the dead switch-panels for?

But if never used, why bother molding in the switch cutouts? I suppose just in case you later wanted to add something. It cost virtually nothing to mold them in there, and if you didn't and later wanted to add something, you would have to mold a whole new piece, which would be very expensive, relat...

Re: What are all the dead switch-panels for?

The dash is the same in both narrow and wide bodied cars. The blank switch positions you're asking about are in the filler pieces they designed so they could use the narrow dash in the wide cars. To my knowledge, none of those blanks were ever used for anything in cars as they left the factory

Re: Cold weather folk..... Heated windshield?

Thoughts? You think you could actually have 35 units custom made for only $800? That seems like an impossibly low price! I forget just now what others have had to pay just to get the stock windshield replaced, but it's not that much cheaper than that But, if I lived in a cold climate an had $800 to...

Re: A/C sticker shock

After reading about charger failures and other issues, I am considering finding a parts car sooner than later, "just in case" We did exactly that, 4 years ago - Picked up a like new '12 Premium with 3,900 miles on it for $8,700 when it came off lease. Just in case anything should go wrong...

Re: Mitsu Stock USB or aftermarket stereo?

The USB port will play music stored on a memory stick - We have about 600 songs on USB sticks that we use in all 4 cars . . . . it takes quite awhile to play through the list Not sure how compatible that would be with your iPhone. I know the 2012 Premium sound system has Blue tooth, so I assume you ...

Re: Attached Garage Air Conditioner

Very nice installation and a great upgrade. Is the mini-split 120 or 240? I've been meaning to insulate my garage doors, but so far . . . . . I did install an 18,000 btu 240 volt window unit mounted in the back wall of our garage 3 or 4 years ago, but I only use it when I'm working out there. The re...

Re: Adapters

Correct - If you had one of these, you could plug it into that 30 amp outlet and charge using 240 volts at 3Kw https://www.ebay.com/itm/Goldsource-3000-Watt-Step-Up-Down-110V-220V-Voltage-Converter-Transformer/391540950441?epid=2254494439&hash=item5b29a8c5a9%3Ag%3A5FkAAOxyzGlQ62CC&_sacat=0&a...
