Re: Troubleshooting and repair for On-board Charger (OBC), DC-DC Converter

Not all J1772 plugs have switches fitted to the trigger, it's an optional part of the spec... Interesting, as in North America I've never seen a J1772 plug without a disconnect switch. Checking out Wikipedia, the schematic shows a switch in the handle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAE_J1772 Perhap...

Wallbox DC Charger

https://cleantechnica.com/2018/10/18/wallbox-rolls-out-the-first-ever-residential-dc-fast-charger-adds-ai-voice-control/ Sheesh, we don't need all the fancy bells and whistles - a straightforward CHAdeMO with adjustable current will do just fine. Hope they're planning on worldwide distribution at lo...

Very good suggestion! The Hyundai Kona, which has a heat pump in its European version, for cost reasons evidently will not have this in the USA version.

Re: How Many of You Have Had a Windshield Replaced?

I've had two replaced. The first one's install was delayed for the gasket, but the second one they had the windshield out before they realized the missing 'kit' so they just re-used the original gasket (I ok'd it). No leaks. I'm fascinated by the whole windshield replacement process, with quality of...

Re: Electric Car Review Talking Points

Sorry to be ragging on this, as it's developing into a wish list. What I'll do is compile everyone's ideas and then go back and do a serious organized update to the original list. Getting into the modern age, we'd like to have the ability to remotely read the EV's pertinent information and be able t...

Agree, and along that line, I want to know what maximum DCFC power the battery pack can absorb.

Re: Regen vs Neutral and speed for max range

Found this very good article discussing regeneration and its limits, further strengthening Aerowhatt's position in our regen vs. neutral debate. https://chargedevs.com/features/regenerative-braking-a-closer-look-at-the-methods-and-limits-of-regen/ Dang, gotta do some controlled tests to see if I can...

Re: C-Zero Inverter Failure

Michael011, I've been thinking further about your issue - a) I changed the title of the thread to Inverter since that's what your dealership is focusing on. After the initial problem it started working again, which is different than the charger/dc-dc hard failure experienced by others. b) I am not f...

Re: C-Zero Inverter/Charger/DC-DC Failure

Michael011, welcome to the forum and sorry to hear of your plight. As you can see, I opened up a new thread and moved these two posts into it so the discussion can focus on your specific problem.
