Re: Charging two i-Mievs

If you're going to be installing new wiring, I would add a NEMA 14-50 socket on the inside right of the garage, right by the entrance. That location allows for a very short charging cable to the car and also allows for easily charging a car outside the garage door. Just use a plastic hose hanger for...

Re: EVgo and AAA

UPDATE The normal EVgo membership is $7.99/month and a roughly 10% reduction in charging cost relative to non-members, and 1/2-hour of 'free' charging. What AAA membership gives you is waiving the $7.99 monthly fee, having the 10% reduction in charging cost, but NO 1/2-hour of 'free' charging. Even ...

Re: PR: GS Yuasa to double driving range

That would be great if the 170km claim for the existing i-Miev was true....  Add this to the long list of "I'll believe it when I see it in cars available for sale" battery claims... While we're being unrealistic, let's say the range of our i-MiEV were able to be doubled simpl...

Re: FYI brake vacuum pump recall for early 2020

Scotterz, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear you laid-up your i-MiEV because of abysmal service from the dealership. ...I would jump all over MMNA to get back the $380 you already paid to have the issue fixed...Don I agree with Don, and the quote for "reprogramming the ECU" is outrageous!...

Re: FYI brake vacuum pump recall for early 2020

Received letters for both of my California i-MiEVs, which , relatively speaking, haven't seen much rain.

Re: My least favorite feature

...If my memory serves me correctly some early adapters were able to move the seat slides further back. Someone was trying to get enough of us to subscribe to contract with an outfit that fabricated seat support extensions. Unfortunately, not enough of us signed up and the deal fell through. At 6' ...

Re: My least favorite feature

My least-favorite feature are the visibility-obscuring headrests. Unless I have passengers I always remove them, but do leave the driver's headrest in place. The front passenger headrest fits very nicely on the seat with the prongs poking under the backrest and can be reinstalled in seconds.

Hi Mily, Welcome to the forum. For starters, you might have a look at this older thread, primarily applicable to North American i-MiEVs - http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2435 Here's the EU/UK thread - http://myimiev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1926 BTW you posted twice on the ...

The "low temperature" chime. Every time it goes off (for the first time in a while), I'm like "Ack! What's wrong with the car?" before I realize "Oh, it's cold outside. Thanks, I knew that." As someone who lives in a generally-mild climate I welcome the rare (to me) &q...

Re: Warning Codes - Car with ! Exclamation Mark

Lena, welcome to the forum. In addition to a genuine Mitsubishi dedicated computer and software called MUT3 which is expensive and not readily available, there are a number of alternatives available. I purchased something called "iCarsoft Mitsubishi/Mazda i909 Multi-System Scanner OBDII Vehicle...
