Re: i-MiEV Cuts Out After Hitting Bump

sandange, thank you, and I've passed it on. If my friend doesn't have any success I'll probably hop into the Tesla and go down there and play with it... after first contacting the previous owner just in case it had been an issue in the past.

Re: i-MiEV Cuts Out After Hitting Bump

PV1, thanks for reminding me about the fuses. I've also offered to swap cars with them so I can troubleshoot at home ... dang, I just checked, still not enough CHAdeMO stations to take a direct route to SoCal (but looks like I could do it going down Highway 99). Those ElectrifyAmerica stations are s...

i-MiEV Cuts Out After Hitting Bump

Last summer a good friend of mine in Los Angeles bought a 2012 i-MiEV (with replacement pack) after visiting us. His wife glommed onto it and loves it! Recently, she has had three instances of going over speed bumps and the car cut out on her. She had no problem pulling over and restarting the car a...

Re: i-Miev Battery Cell Testing

Gary 12345, unlike LiFePO4, our cell chemistry is such that voltage fairly well reflects State of Charge and doesn't sag, I think you'd simply measure one of the other cell's voltage and simply charge the replacement to match.

Re: Managing private messages in this forum?

acensor, I finally got back online as we've been having some 'interesting' weather and lots of downed trees and power outages. I personally welcome all these violent storms and all the rain they finally bring. Love razzing my friends that my electric car is powering my house (even though it's just a...

Re: "New" 2018 IMIEV. Paddle shifters on it. Cheers

Nicely-appointed and I'm envious of those regen paddles, which I had been asking for dating back to Aptera and in our early days here. According to this website, the present-day i-MiEV is also available in Canada. https://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/en/showroom/i-miev/regional_sites/ Their too...

Re: new owner question

snookpig, welcome to the forum. A 2012 with 1200 miles on it!!! Gosh, I wouldn't expect any suspension wear at all. Regarding your issue, in addition to what Don said, what you describe also sounds like underinflated rear tires. First make sure that the tires are inflated correctly (36psi) or even o...

Re: Headlights

It's not that the headlights are 'low', it's simply, like in many modern cars, the low beams have an extremely sharp cutoff. Raising them would blind the oncoming traffic. Our high beams are additive to the low beams and are terrific on my dark twisting country road.

Re: ChargePoint Charging Question

Wow, thank you very much for posting this graph! I've never seen charge level changes like this. Up to the car's OBC (On Board Charger ) maximum, the EVSE supplying the power tells the car how much it can deliver. Nice to see that it did jump up to full power, after which the car did its normal full...
