The Magnet Hack?

A guy on a FB forum suggests the placement of a flat magnet on the AC plug will make a level 1 EVSE put 14A into the car instead of 8A. I searched on here but only found one reference to this but no details. Can anyone confirm this? Thank you.

Re: When to be concerned about Ah number

There is a guy named gary on the FB page for our cars; is that you? Yes I will look at canIon individual voltages when I get down to 3 bars and see what it says. Lately I have noticed that number 64 is running hotter than the others during charge. It is up around 29C while others tend toward 26 or 2...

When to be concerned about Ah number

I just found the readout on CANiON for my 2012 with around 25K miles on it. 35.6 is the figure showing after the latest level one overnight charge from factory EVSE. People on another forum seem to think it should be 42. At what point does mitsubishi replace the main pack under warranty? I still hav...

Re: temp sensor and guess o meter

Here is update: about ten miles into a full charge which came after a <2 bar fill-up both GOM and temp readout came back. Got down to <2 bars and filled up with my level 2 at home unit like always and lost GOM and temp readout. The fact they are both failing and returning and failing together I thin...

temp sensor and guess o meter

Hi: My 2012 with 25K miles on it got a new starting aux 12V battery last year and all seems well with charging the big battery and driving range. All accessories working great. Suddenly last week, the guess o meter countdown miles stopped indicating at the same time the outside temp sensor began jus...

Re: Re-mapping

Kiev: Thank you for reply. In the course of airbag re-do, the aux battery was disconnected. I know this because both A n B odometers reset and radio stations were lost. But the countdown range changed A LOT and the car seems to be recalibrating itself ever since. I drove 15 miles since the reset and...

Re-mapping

We now have E dealer here in tucson AZ where I took my car for passenger airbag today. That went fine but they suggest a $140 "re-mapping" of the charge system and cell management. I told them the "tank" would fill to 84 miles but it is burning off faster than that; their solutio...

Re: Canion

Just did first charge with canIon running and wondering what is normal and what is sign of impending trouble? The only numbers that looked weird to me were individual cell temp during charge. Highest was 34 degrees and lowest was 27. I cannot figure out how to attach image from my desktop but I do h...

Re: LED headlights

Read all four pages of this and still cannot determine which exact PIAA LED is the closest direct replacement for the incandescent Low beams in my 2012 i-miev. Can someone redirect me to the latest page or newest info? The PIAA page for application is broken. Thank you. --Tom in Tucson AZ

Re: Duosida EVSE

To say my position on this "evolved" would put me in league with lots of politicians who "see the light" and switch sides. I hope that is not a bad thing to be criticized for. It is true that I burned up the server traffic with my machinations about current draw on L1 and then tu...
