Re: Life with Chevy Bolt EV

...In fact, am in the market for a 3rd Bolt, pre-owned of course. The $/range-mile is just so cost effective, ~$20K/250 miles (~$80/mile). A 75D/85D would be preferable, but at $35K/300-mile (~$117/mile). Hey, a $5K i-MiEV matches your cost-effective Bolt metric! ($5K/62=~$80/mile) :geek:  I d...

Re: Want to Buy 2016+ iMiev

I would make sure that you see the Carfax. I too am looking but the ones I see are too much $$ and a few with the low low miles were taken in for Electrical Charging checks. That makes me nervous and I passed. One had 150 miles but not sure if it is the same one. EDIT, yes this is the car, 2 differe...

) Yeah, at some point I think the Lemon Law should kick in. No reason a new car would need that much work. The front seats were a common complaint on the 2017 models, but more so with leather. I have the cloth seats and find them very comfortable. My only true complaint about the Bolt is that the s...

Re: Life with Chevy Bolt EV

I've had the stabilizer links, stabilizer bar, rear axle, traction battery replaced and other small issues. But the noise that is killing me is something that sounds lose when in stop and go bumper traffic. You would think it is the torque but it isn't. It is a Tink noise like as if something is bol...

Re: Life with Chevy Bolt EV

I wanted to post on this about the BOLT. I must have gotten the 1 Bolt that who ever was doing the QC and Build made this the problem child. I have had all sorts of things replaced and a constant noise they can't find. I am trying to get GM to buy back the car :( There are so many things I live abou...

I don't use the paddle at all. I just keep it in L and take my foot off the pedal for a complete stop.
I think I have used the brakes 8 times in the 4 months I have used it ;)

Just bumping this to say I got the paperwork back from the Auction. Sold for $2300. I did donate it, and can use that off my taxes this year :) So free towing, free auctioning and paperwork for taxes = priceless ;) I didn't have to deal with tire kickers. I think the price was good, just wanted othe...

Re: Life with Chevy Bolt EV

I too noticed the draw at 2kW but there was nothing on, no heat no nothing. It too was cold out.

So it must be to warm batteries. Not much of a draw but maybe worth it to keep plugged in over night ?

Re: Life with Chevy Bolt EV

I had not really paid attention to what the setting were. I thought I had defrost on, but maybe not. I was not aware that the wipers would stop 1/2 way up and then not go down with pre-heat, TY. This is the 1st car I have with preheat thing. My 'i' did not come with the remote. I too have the heated...
