Re: new program for monitoring charge readings

This looks like an interesting app. Will it work with the OBDLink scantool (STN chip?), or does it require an ELM327 chip device? Yes ! loosely , any scanner ELM327 ( STN chip , ARM chip , PIC chip ) usb, wi-fi, bluetooth. Since its an Android app, it won't work on my iPhone. Do you have plans to c...

Re: A/C sticker shock

when I charged the car that morning it was for only about 4 hours, went from 17 to 30 on the guessometer. Is the problem also with (or only with) the traction battery? When we first bought our iMiev, it only charged to 32. Prior to buying it, the dealer checked the traction battery and replaced it ...

Re: E-Vacation

That's cool especially considering that we are in our own vacation now. Wife and kids flew into Seattle, WA, whilst I drove the Volt up. We traveled up through Victoria Island, Vancouver, and down the coast. We are now in Starbucks just north of Santa Rosa. BTW, whilst in Vancouver, we saw several S...

Re: Hypermiling the i-MiEV

I measured regen efficiency several times uses two i-MiEV cars. When the front i-MiEV, going 30 mph, uses 8 BARS (~7 kWh) the towed i-MiEV using regen B adds 4 BARS (~3.5 kWh). This implies the i-MiEV is about 70% efficient from battery to wheel/road, and the round trip back to the battery is about...

Re: Stock Shocks Replacement Options

How many miles on your car? You should be fine until at least 75K or so on suspension parts. No chance that your dealer is suggesting a change just because he knows he'll be making a mint on a hard to find part, is there? 44k or so, I did look at the shocks this morning with another mechanic ...

Re: Stock Shocks Replacement Options

Per Mark Mitsubishi, our 'Miev needs new rear shocks and there are no after-market substitutes. Quoted $399.00 for both rear shocks. Ouch. Anybody have any luck finding an after-market replacement? Replaced the cabin filter for $35 including tax; MM used a Mirage filter, which they said was the same.
