Re: Our Gas Free Miles Travelled

We’ve done about the same over 5 years. Our use of the iMiev is down somewhat because everyone here prefers the Volt, which now has over 60,000 miles.

One particular observation is that even with greater mileage, the Volt shows no traction battery degradation.

Re: Our Gas Free Miles Travelled

Here, here! We've had the 'Miev for two years and two days and put on 26,500 miles or so in that time, trouble-free as well. Works out to about 36 miles per day, which is fairly ordinary for the average US driver. Happy New Year! :D Now three years and driven it right at 38k miles or about 35 miles...

Re: Exclamation on car warning light

Speaking of dead traction batteries, anybody know what this cell replacement notion is that I found on the iMiev forum on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/groups/1576239779311742/?multi_permalinks=2462321207370257%2C2462304140705297%2C2462296964039348%2C2459340161001695%2C2462096637392714&noti...

Re: Public Charging Station Customers

Per a Blink network email just received, Blink has converted to a per kilowatt rate from a TOU rate in Arizona:

$.39 members, $.49 guests.

More than likely from pressure from Az Weights and Measures and probable forthcoming regulation.

Re: [POLL] On-Board Charger and DC/DC Converter

FYI fellow IMIEV owners: Just received a letter from Mitsubishi Warranty Dept. regarding" potential low durability of the capacitors on the circuit boards in the On-Board-Charger (OBC)...... " As a result, the drive battery may not be charged by regular charging and the 12V battery may no...

Another interesting hydrogen article: https://phys.org/news/2019-08-scientist ... tumen.html

Might make a difference as to justifying a hydrogen network in some geographical areas.

Re: Stock Shocks Replacement Options

How many miles on your car? You should be fine until at least 75K or so on suspension parts. No chance that your dealer is suggesting a change just because he knows he'll be making a mint on a hard to find part, is there? 44k or so, I did look at the shocks this morning with another mechanic ...

Re: Car not charging

Inasmuch as the blown board may be due to past sudden disconnects or power outages at the plug, would putting in a UPS for the charger make sense? On a similar note, I went to the May Phoenix Electric Auto meeting held at Gruber Repair in Phoenix. They repair Teslas of all kinds including the Roadst...
